1. Principles & Data Minimization

Kpop Arena (kpop-arena.com) is designed with a privacy-first, minimal-data architecture. We do not require user registration or personal accounts, and we do not collect your name, email address, or phone number to use the voting service.

2. Strictly Necessary Local Storage

We use your browser’s standard localStorage exclusively to remember which matchups you have already voted on and to maintain your local weekly voting streak. This data remains on your device and is not used for cross-site tracking or profiling.

3. Server Logs & Abuse Prevention

To prevent automated ballot-stuffing and DDoS attacks (legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), our server temporarily computes a one-way pseudonymous cryptographic hash of your IP address salted with a daily rotating key. Raw IP addresses are not stored in our voting logs.

4. Analytics

We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics to measure aggregated website visits. No persistent tracking identifiers or third-party advertising cookies are placed on your device.
